No. Traditional tutoring generally focuses on understanding one subject. Homework In a Café also helps students manage assignments across classes, prioritize work, stay organized, improve executive functioning skills and develop stronger study habits.

Our core program is designed for middle and high school students. If you're unsure whether Homework In a Café is the right fit for your child, we'd be happy to discuss your student's needs.
PROGRAMS & SUPPORT

Academic Support & Student Success

We can help your child:

Please note that acceptance and grading of late work remain subject to your child's school and teacher policies.

Yes. Credits may be used for Test Preparation or One-on-One Tutoring, depending on tutor availability and your student's needs.

Yes. Portal review is part of the Homework Center routine when families provide access. Students should arrive with:
  • School-issued laptop or Chromebook
  • Portal login credentials
  • Homework and learning materials

Yes. Depending on your child's program, we may communicate attendance, work progress, homework completion, concerns, or learning patterns that require additional attention.

No educational program can guarantee specific grades or test scores. Student success depends on many factors including attendance, effort, teacher expectations, school policies and consistent follow-through. Our commitment is to provide structured, high-quality academic support while helping students build stronger learning habits.
CREDITS & PACKAGES

Understanding Monthly Credits

Families purchase a monthly credit package. Different services use credits differently depending on the level of academic support provided. See the Credit Guide below for details.

No. Credits are flexible and can be used differently from week to week depending on your student's academic needs, subject priorities and tutor availability.

No. Monthly credits are intended to be used during the month purchased and do not roll over into future months.

Founding Families may share eligible credits between siblings within the immediate family. Please contact our team for current eligibility and terms.

Important Monthly credits are intended to be used during the month purchased and do not roll over. Scheduling is subject to tutor and space availability. Please review the Program Policies before enrolling.
PROGRAM POLICIES

Scheduling & Cancellations

Homework Center

Homework Center sessions are scheduled for your reserved days and times and therefore do not include a rescheduling policy.

Exceptions may be considered for extended illness.

One-on-One Tutoring

Please provide at least 12 hours' notice if you need to cancel.

  • Late cancellations result in deducted credits.
  • No-shows also result in deducted credits.
  • Rescheduling is subject to tutor availability.
  • All appointments follow the current Program Policies.
ENROLLMENT

Joining Homework In a Café

Getting started is easy.

1 Complete the online Interest Form.
2 Select your preferred location.
3 Choose a monthly package.
4 Tell us about your student's needs.
5 Our team will contact you to confirm availability, discuss the best programme and explain the next steps.
Reservation Payment

A $50 reservation payment may be required to hold your student's place. Payment is made securely during the enrollment process.
